Embassy cup: 15 augustus a.s.

Op 15 augustus a.s. strijden maar liefst tien ambassadeteams vanaf 16.30 uur om de Embassy Cricket Trophy. Dit evenement vindt plaats op Groen-Geel vanaf 16:30 uur.

On August 15th no fewer than ten embassy teams will compete from 4:30 PM for the Embassy Cricket Trophy. This event will take place at Groen-Geel from 4:30 PM.

The best of tour – dames naar Canterbury

Van 24 – 27 juli jl. vond the crickettour van de dames plaats met als thema  “the best of…”.

From July 24th to 27th, the ladies’ cricket tour took place with the theme “the best of…”.

Testimonial Han en Bart

Ter van het afscheid van Han van der Meer en Bart Wentges als actieve cricketers (vorig jaar) werd voor beide heren op zaterdag 26 juli jongstleden een 'testimonial match' georganiseerd, ten einde op feestelijke en gepaste wijze de lange cricket-carrière bij Groen-Geel (Han, 36 jaar, Bart 34 jaar) af te sluiten. Daarvoor waren vele oude bekenden opgeroepen om in een van beide teams, onder aanvoering van 1 van de heren, deel te nemen aan een wedstrijd en de borrel en barbecue nadien.

To mark the retirement of Han van der Meer and Bart Wentges as active cricketers last year, a testimonial match was organized for both men on Saturday, July 26th, to mark a fitting and festive conclusion to their long cricket careers at Groen-Geel (Han, 36 years old, Bart, 34 years old). Many old acquaintances were invited to participate in a match on one of the teams, captained by one of the men, followed by drinks and a barbecue.
